Highlight Reel

So, it has been forever since I looked at my blog...I forgot how funny-slash-weird I am. I encourage you to read some of the previous posts, especially the most recent, though they're all good...I decided to publish a highlight reel each week of some of my best blog comments.

Oh, and be sure to read the post right below this one: it's my actual first post in 8 months...you won't want to miss it.

--September 2, 2004--
"Um...Septemberfest is coming up. I'll tell you guys all about it. (Are there usually ostriches? It doesn't really matter. You won't be there, so anything I say you'll have to believe.) Yeah, I'm pretty sure Schaumburg went with the Ostrich theme this year. Ostrich performances, Ostrich crafters, Ostriches in the pond, Miss Septemberfest is an Ostrich, and they're serving Ostrich meat, the other, OTHER white meat. Actually it's red.

There, you'd better believe it was the most exciting and unusual Septemberfest ever.

Or it will be, when it occurs."

--August 25, 2004--
"So, why am I updating at 2:33 pm on Aug. 25 in St. Charles? Very simple: the college kids told me to. And you have to do what college kids say, or they'll trip you on the sidewalk, tear your backpack off your back, throw your books into a puddle, step on you, force you to swallow roofies. True story. Darn college kids...frazzle-tazzle-gran-drazzle-varmint college kids (my best yosemite sam impression)."

"Was just listening to my 30th Anniversary Dr. Demento Album bought in Ohio (#1, just like anyother normal 17 year old, #2, does anyone say "album" any more? not like photo album or "i'll bum along" but like a music album) and I realized how perfect the lyrics of one song's refrain are for me..."

--June 21, 2004--
"Sue me, what can you do me? I haven't blogged in 13 days. But really, what's in 13 days besides 312 hours? (no, i didn't use mental math...there's this little thing under accessories called "Paint." Right above that is "Notepad."

You haven't read any posts from me lately for a very good reason...I haven't posted...but today, that changes...not the you not reading it part, but the me not posting part.

So why am i posting now, of all times? Well, I sup-post-ed it's because i left a post-it to post it today, it meaning my completely zany randomness at 1:50am.

By the way, what I was getting at earlier was that right above "Notepad" is "Command Prompter.""

--March 27, 2004--
"The mail came an hour ago (which is a whole nother story...that i'll tell you mid sentence to leave you in suspense...8 months ago our mailwoman of 7 years was relocated...since then we have had a variety of mailmen, but they all deliver the mail at 3:30....our mail used to come at 10:30...i understand that someone has to get the mail at 3:30, but if you are used to getting the mail at 10:30, someone else must be used to getting it at 3:30, so why switch things around? Just follow the same schedule as your predecessor) and I got an acceptance letter from Northwestern! I'm ecstatic."
